I have my excavation book and the plans, and will send them to you if you wish. I also have a very sloppy looking expense-account and the more recent bills to bear out my plea for funds. I am including in this my savings by extra ship and hotel (Nicosia) economies, as you said I might. If you knew what I had to put up with on the boat the expedition would probably vote me extra dammages. but that seems hardly necessary.

While in Nicosia I photographed the tripod stands (terracotta) which I was interested in for H.R.W. Smith, whose my special protégé, I am, and took the liberty of photographing your two Lapithos ones. In case there are objections they are still in the negative state, so that no harm is done. I will not send them until I have your approval.

Would you write c/o American Express, who

will forward my mail if I go to Mykonos. Sincerely, Pete P.S. The black incised ware seems to be unique.
