Athens, 31 Dec. 1934.

Dear Mr.Dikaios,

I have heard with pleasure that with the necessary funds in hand you are engaged in a radical rearrangement of the Museum. The result will, I am sure, be greatly to enhance the effectiveness of the Museum. The main exhibition as well as to increase the use of the studies of the Museum involve a great deal of hard labor.

In this connection it occurs to me that I ought to have asked some time ago about the storage of your things from Lapithos. I think it was about your own building for a storeroom in which the finds from Kourion now and rental for Lapithos for be /for Lapithos? I am sure you would be charged a fair rental for the space occupied. This seems an appropriate time to begin paying. I shall wish to pay the expenses that must have been incurred in 1932. I shall wish to pay the new storeroom on shelves in 1932.

If you should have immediate need of our inventory of pottery from Lapithos about as I suppose you may in connection with the shifting of things about. -- please send copy I had made for you last year (but Mr.Daniel to Mr.Daniel is \ not managed to prepare a proof-reading and completely read the invent oyy. I am writing it to Mr.Daniel to find them and am ~~ . Mr.Daniel to find them and am writing it to find/ them . If, however, you call for it just now I should have the copy to have proof-reading. Mr.Daniel rather than. You do not need the inventory yourself. I should be brought you by me. I should (who belongs to Kourion rather than to Lapithos), with it. I hope to spend the last ten days of January in Cyprus.

Christo's wages as guard at Kourion were paid through the Museum for August, September, October and November. I have assumed that he would be paid for December and perhaps January. But now that Mr.Daniel is through the Museum, out of my small credit with you. Christo, still in Episkopi, has asked to be paid directly by him on his expense. If Mr. Daniel to make the payments unless he sees no objection, and I am writing to the contrary.

It appears probable that we shall have funds for a reasonable campaign at Kourion this year, and we hope to work through the months of March, April and May. I count upon having you as a near neighbor during a good part of the season. This time Headquarters will be in Episkopi.

With all best wishes for a most successful year 1935,

Sincerely yours,
