All in all, things are running very smoothly. I find the villagers as cordial as ever.

It has been very hot, but I haven't had any mosquitos yet. I could stand it rather cooler with no trouble at all, but I find that I am getting used to it.

I hope that your trip back was pleasant, and that you were able to get a good rest.

Do write me if you find time. What did you decide about Christo's pay as guard? and what is to happen about Lazaros?

Sincerely Pete

P.S. Georgios brought me my passport, vised, and a can of delicious jam. Thank you for both. JMD
