In the foreground a rough-stone arch opens onto a dark vaulted passage with steps visible on the right inside. Behind, a path runs between broken stone walls, one with a small arched doorway, and a tall rock face rises above them. A single figure in a light shirt and hat walks away from the camera on the path, and pine trees stand against the sky at the upper right.
