Work with the mechanical digger. descent in depth north of K J/10-3, in line with the ramps 710/491, in search of the solid constructions of ramp 491 (ramp 710, in brick earth and fill, having been completely destroyed towards the north, cf. excavation 1989).

no deep solid constructions towards the N but EAU! Section of the ramp West - East Work with the digger is stopped at the north. We pump (1)

We cut the ramp from West to East, to reach the base of the fill of ramp 710 and see whether ramp 491 appears underneath, in section.

→ in the section, there is no ramp 491 under ramp 710 = → ramp 491 is clearly shorter than we had first imagined, since it ends south of the present section.

+ at the base of the section, it would seem that we reach the natural bedrock = shoreline ?

(1)- Irregular operation of the pump! it is no doubt poor pump training on the part of Monsieur Savvi Arrival of a second pump, which, after many attempts, empties the water from square J10/1 (= long trench North -)
