… in H8/1 (UF 201), the situation is becoming complicated 7 = block 459 turns out to be a wall running east-west, which turns north after ± 3 m, towards the North; to the north, a slab of marmaro, set on the floor at the same level, turns west and runs into the baulk.

-> levelling of the Geometric floor to the south of 459 (= opening onto the trench of the large wall 432)

+ continuing the descent, to the North (= it is still of the bulldozer fill)

the second half (= west) will have to be opened of square H8/1, to excavate the whole space between a supposed partition wall au to the west of square H8/1 and partition wall 453, in H8/2.

Wednesday 23. 08 September.

- continuation of UF 203 in H9/3

UF 201 in H8/1

- in H9/3 (UF 203), descent in the northern half. we reach the altitude of the base level of the wall 432 = ± 2.20m = square empty.

at the end of the day, we think we can make out the trace of a robbing trench -> to be cleaned tomorrow.

- in H8/1, cleaning of massif 459. Some aligned blocks + massive packing of plaster and of stones = very elaborate foundation - of what?.
