J8/2. continuation UF 210 to find the alignment 488 e, which appears to have been robbed very low.

+ part of the baulk J8/2 - J8/1 collapses. cleaning.

J8/1. continuation UF 211 + cleaning: we are heading towards a halt to the excavation without precise justification.

cleaning of locus 490.

J8/2. UF 212 summary of work 6-8 October. the bulldozer brought to light a block covered with plaster, locus 491, comparable to 459, 488, 490.... Levelling of the whole square. We notice - that above this massif, towards the north, there is a fill of destruction stones. = large shapeless packing cf. sketch, p. 27

- this packing lies between two massifs of brick, to the east and to the west

- the west massif is aussi levelled with locus 491

- the east massif is kept as a witness.

- the bcri brick earth partially covers the locus 491 -> fill of bricks and stones = later than the destruction of 491 = the massifs of brick earth have nothing to do with the construction of 491, they are much later than it = fill well after the construction of the massifs.
